September 11 2008, we host speakers from the Boating Industry Association and North Port Quay to speak on the impact of the shortage of facilities around the metro area and other current affairs. Questions from the floor will follow.

 

Previous Forums
On September 6 2007, we hosted a public forum at Fremantle Sailing Club to address the developing crisis surrounding the lack of pen space,  mooring facilities, and the critical shortage of quality launching ramps in particular between Woodman Point and Hillarys.
Addressed by Mr Steve Jenkins, Manager, Coastal Facilities at the Department for Planning and Infrastructure and Hon Bob Kuchera MLA.
 

On September 7 2006, Fishing expert Mark Pagano from RecFishWest will speak about the proposed fishing sanctuary zones and other fishing stories at Fremantle Sailing Club.

On September 1, 2005,  RIA experts talked about the changes at Rottnest Island and  fielded questions from the floor.
Forum started at 8pm, straight after the AGM.

June 9 2004, BWA Forum on recreational boating safety.

On Thursday,  November 27 2003, Come and discuss the proposed introduction of Recreational Boat Operator Licence.

On May 29 2003,  Our experts talked about the Rottnest Island Management Plan and collected your opinions about it.
Forum starts at 8pm, straight after the AGM.

On March 25 2003, Our members and guests enjoyed a private Tour of Maritime Museum for Members

In September 2002, BWA held another successful Public Forum based on the Rottnest Management Plan 2002-2007.

In excess of 400 people crowded into Fremantle Sailing Club to hear five senior members of the Rottnest Island Authority air their views on the plan.

A facilitator then fielded questions from the assembled crowd.

 

Over 35 questions were asked of the Chairman of RIA (Jenny Archibald) and her managers.
The questions and answers are being assembled by BWA and will form part of our submission to RIA which closed on 19th September 2002.
